FDS Engineering Services

We offer more than software solutions …

At FDS, we know that having the right software tools is only part of the solution. Virtual Process Planning is an engineering activity that can only be deployed progressivly within an organisation. Our services offer a pertinent way to speed up and guide you through the deployment of our tools and through the process of using them efficiently with regards to your specific engineering needs.

However, with a panel of services ranging from highly specific data processing to engineering support/consulting and including custom software development, our services can also offer support for on-of modelling project, for punctually balancing your activity or to customised you Virtual Process Planning solution on the long term.

CAD Services

The 3D data required for building simulation models often exists but at a level of detail and in formats that are not suitable for simulation purposes. FDS CAD processing services offer support for collecting, simplifying and translating simple CAD geomatry or complex CAD assemblies of machine, product, tooling, material handling into formats that can be used to build lightweight simulations models. If 3D data does not exist in your organisation, we can also editing services for building simulation-specific CAD models .

Simulation Services

Our modelling and simulation service makes it possible for your orgasnisation to benefit from Virtual Process Planning by letting us collecting, processing design data and implementing the simulation model for you. We will provide a complete model of your processes along with a details engineering and simulation report containing valuable information about the design of your system. The benefit can be shared by all members of your organisation and your project partners by simply using our CCE Viewer to view the model files and analyse the simulation results.

Software Development

Whether you wish to customised part of our software solution to accomodate specific requirements of your engineering process, or need a completely stand-alone software component to fill a gap in your Virtual Engineering software integration, we provide custom engineering applications development services. We typycally use the .Net development platform to develop Windows or web-based applications but are confortable in using alternative development platforms if you specifically require so.

Augmented Reality

The AR solution provides end-users with interactive experience on live and historical data visualisation. The software could be deployed to both handheld and head-mounted devices. Stakeholders across the lifecycle could share the augmented view simultaneously.

Tool Tracking System – AR

Historical data of tool positions could be beneficial to process planning and enhancement. The AR tool tracking system visualises the movement of tools. Users could understand, for instance, how each operator perform tasks as well as how operations vary on different products.

Labelling System – AR

The AR labelling system allows operators to put markers on the products virtually and to view them through a tablet or head-mounted display in real-time. Markers data would be stored, and thus it could be retrieved and viewed across various devices.

3D-Tracking

This application is a digital twin of a physical station. Operations performed on the stations could be visualised remotely in a real-time manner. It could be deployed on both PCs or mobile devices.
